Canine

To keep your Dog fit, happy and healthy we suggest the following vaccination program:

 6 – 8 weeks – 1st vaccination

12 – 14 weeks – 2nd vaccination

16 – 18 weeks – 3rd vaccination

Yearly Boosters – Each year for life.

 

The common vaccinations used are:

C3 – Protects against Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus

C5 – Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Kennel Cough

 * C5 is required when your dog is going to attend a Boarding Kennel

The Vet will discuss these different vaccines with you.

We also have available:

Tetanus – Recommended for dogs rural dogs

Leptospira – Recommended for dogs travelling to specific areas eg. Mackay

Feline

To keep your Cat fit and healthy please consider the following vaccination program:

6 – 8 weeks – 1st Vaccination

10 – 12 weeks – 2nd Vaccination

14 – 16 weeks – 3rd Vaccination

Yearly Booster – Each year for life

 

The different vaccinations are:

F3 – Protects against cat flu and feline enteritis

F4 – Protects against cat flu and feline enteritis PLUS Chlamydia

F5 – Protects against cat flu and feline enteritis PLUS Chlamydia and Feline Leukaemia Virus

* At least an F3 is required when you cat is going to attend a Boarding Kennel or Cattery

Feline FIV:

FIV- Protects against Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (Feline AIDS virus)

*FIV protection requires three needles two weeks apart and then a yearly booster. We recommend protection against FIV for cats which go outdoors as it is spread by bitting.
